Despite offering to sort these out, I have not done anything so pleased that gaz and ange took it on.
I had looked at vista print for the cards as they always have special offers. At the moment they have 1000 cards for £20 plus postage. Incidentally they do mugs with the same logo for £5

i have dealings with vista print before
and advise if your using them, pick the plainer ones as the photo picture ones print really badly
..............(might delete later for law suit issues lol),but you get the jist
but vista is by far the cheapest and you are just giving them away when you think about it,and its the next best thing up from home printing

iam happy either way your quite welcome to use any i have put together and im happy to tweek and customise anyway you wish when youve picked your design n colours n lay out
please dont be obliged to use any if you like the original, or someone has better idea lol

Just to say thanks to Ang for the artwork really impressive, and must have taken a lot of time. I really liked all the designs, but in the end voted for the one with all the vans as thought it was very inclusive and friendly looking  |

Been and voted. Very impressed with the artwork too.
We have used vista print a few times and happy with most things. As ang said, the cards to be given away so quantity over quality this time......

But its got a while to go yet, so who knows, I think she has done brilliantly, I always faff about indecisively for ages with anything remotely like that, like photoshop, you can create so many effects it can have little resemblance to the starting point! |

faffing ...thats not the word.. she has thousands (literally) of fonts all sorts ...but she still doesnt have the one she wants when ever she does a new project ...it astounds me id use the first or maybe second ones and thats it pmsl

If the last one wins it will probably work out well on Vistaprint for a cheap run as the design should be simple to print not having the photo element.

Talking about getting the logo out there, how about t shirts with the logo on, we could all wear them at meets etc, Xamax at Wakefield do some really cheap deals, if enough people were interested, just do them at cost. Just an idea  . |

I'll be happy with whatever you guys choose. My own preference would be plain and simple (stealth logo?); just the letters FMUK artworked with colours and the web address underneath with no vans in evidence. Boring or what?! Probably we can produce the artwork and then you can all order your own mug at vistaprint or similar for about £5 by uploading whatever artwork you want and you'd buy direct from them eg www.vistaprint.co.uk/personalised-mugs.aspx?txi=16605&xnid=UseCasePage_MugsI don't think it is worth the forum doing a run of mugs and then selling them. At WC4MH it all ended a bit sour when mugs got broken in the post and people demanded replacements and compensation etc. Unless that is, someone really wants to run a FMUK shop and sell merchandise. A lot of hassle and you make pennies on each item, but if anyone is keen on running that kind of set up, post here! |
