Not free sites but ones less than £10 maybe which offer value.

Round Plantation Mildenhall (Caravan Club) Densely wooded site. They let you select own pitch. Get a nice one in the trees and you wouldn't even know you are on a site, see photos. Most pitches have hook up nearby. No toilets; water and recycling only. Very quiet too, £9.00 a night including Hook up. P193 of CC club book.

Stanwell Farm Finningham, Suffolk, IP14 4JA CC Handbook P 461
Very nice 5 van site I stayed at in 2010. Very spacious and secluded.
They will give you the code to the gate, and you can post £8.00 through their box, so no need to even make contact with owners if you are arriving late etc. Site is in a grassed area well to the rear enclosed by conifers. Electric hook ups and water + toilet disposal + rubbish facilility but no toilets or anything like that. Peaceful location and ideal for Thetford forest or Bressingham steam etc.

The Fox and Goose Greywell www.foxandgoosegreywell.co.uk/A well known one this. On the M3 near Basingstoke. They have a field round the back with toilets which is free for campers. Not exactly free as they do expect you to poke your nose in the bar and have a meal and a drink, but hey, you gotta eat anyway so it can work out at £8-10 a day with a meal and drink thrown in.

The Ram at Brandon www.theglasswasherandicemachinecompany.co.uk/Ram/index.htmlAnother well known one this. Prices not on website but I have paid £5 to £10 depending on time of year for field round the back of the pub. 1 No. WC unisex Toilet block and quaint shower as part of the urinal. very basic! Hook ups available about £2 extra. I guess you've paid for camping so no need to frequent the pub but they do a nice range of beers and food. Aldi (or is it Lidl) in the town less than 10 mins walk.
