Welcome I asked Rebel camper to advertise the Carry on Camping Hampshire Campfest here especially as this year it is at the Fox and Goose Greywell and free (except for small admin charge I believe). Some of our members may well be interested, especially the local ones.

Some of us are local.
Well I'm in Herts and have been there a couple of times. But we have members in Surrey, Sussex, Wiltshire, Hampshire etc. Greywell is quite easy to get to for many of us.

Oh dear... I forgot to introduce myself I am camper with various camping units.. 2 8 berth tents... 1 four berth tent.. 1 five berth caravan... and my new addition a 2 berth Combicamper. I love arranging meets and rallies, and after being with a couple of forums, surrounded by rules and regulations of which I am no longer associated with. I decided as a bet.. to form my own forum, which very soon became a top listing with all the major search engines, As time progressed I was invited, to join an ailing forum... of which I was later asked to take over. The main reason for me to join with forums like this, is to share my love of camping with others, which also includes, the shareing of meets and rallies with like minded people, You will see in my SIG... a final statement made by me to, another forum owner, this statement actualy ended the conversation. Camping is a leisure activity, and not a political minefied ! Hence The Rebel Camper.

Just reading the thread, and am wondering whether an American RV would manage to get into the Fox & Goose. The turn from the road is tight combined with the gap between the pub itself and an outbuilding. Have a look on google earth 51 15 25 N 0 58 19 W, sorry not done the links course yet!

To get a link go to Google Maps Paste in the coords to the address bar Click on the chain icon to the left of the map. It will give you a link. I usually tick the box marked "short URL" Hence: goo.gl/maps/nCgtvI would advise bigger vehicles to approach from the south to get through the gap.

Thank you, will try it out next time!
We approached from the left of the pub, facing it. That lane is a long wriggly one.

Yes, the natural approach is from the right (road to the M3)... I'm not sure how easy it is to turn round further down that road so that one can approach from the left.
I did just about manage to take that turn from the right, but only 5.4m long van.

We managed to turn around, 7.5 m, further down the round but a bit dodgy as the bends cause blind spots, and then you have to take into account the local drivers who wouldn't expect anything that size to turn around down there. The bus only goes through once a day!
