Hi everyone,
I'm a 70 yo Australian, Vietnam veteran. I travel for most of the year around Oz in my Mitsubishi Delica 4wd camper-van and love the lifestyle.
I'm going to be in the UK in 2017 - planning to buy a small, cheapish motor home to see the sights for possibly up to a year. I hope to sell the motor home when finished.
I'd like to befriend a local who might consider helping me with buying a MH, registration, insurance etc. Also information re driving there as an "old fart", any other useful matters and recommendations of destinations etc.
Hope everything's blooming up there for you - summer here is dragging on. 39°C in Perth tomorrow.

Hello my son in law to be is an Aussie, he is always cold only been here a year though. We all meet up through each year in different locations around the country, it's mostly done as cheap and free as possible apart from the booze. I am sure you will get help, one of our friends drives a Delica... Penny & Ron

Hi bushrat. It's a different kind of motorhoming here in the UK. I did a tour down under back in 2000 & covered some serious milage in a Mitsubishi L300 express, the 4x4 version. Had a great time in oz & would tour there again, i loved it. I'm sure you'll be able to find a van here to last you a year without spending over the odds. You can get tins of VB in some places too ;-)
