Is it that difficult? People seem to be giving all kinds of answers.

I make it 5 too, but this was used as one of those gadgets on FB to get people to post the answer and market someone's product by advertising their page etc and the answers they were giving were amazing.
About half of them were 5 but the other half were like 4, 6, 7, 8 etc!

Is it one of those psychology tests where no one dare say anything different? ?

But is the answer right?

I made it 6 because there were no quarters.

Oops, I was cutting the halves in to quarters to make the others whole, then putting the halves together. Maybe there are no watermelons, only segments of watermelon!

The answer would depend on how many watermellons where used to make the picture.

I made it 6 too.

I just assumed you could make up whole ones any way, not using quarters.
In which case slide the two sides together for 4 and another two halves make 5.
Just shows there is more than one answer. I think 6 is probably valid too, but the 7's and 8's on FB were a bit optimistic!

(waits for pointing fingers and hysterical laughter)
