Mr Clutch has quoted me £350 less than Robins and Day for the same job over the same time period. Has anyone used Mr Clutch? Are they ok?

Mr Clutch has quoted me £350 less than Robins and Day for the same job over the same time period. Has anyone used Mr Clutch? Are they ok? Yes, I've used them for 2 clutches and a gearbox (different vehicles!), cambelts etc. They are not always the cheapest but I've always had good experiences of the one in Bletchley and Peterborough. My brother has used the one in Luton. They are usually quite efficient and get work done quickly which is why I like them as I need my vehicles on the road!
I have heard some people who have not had such good experiences but I've no complaints! I've had the odd extra on my bill but all justifiable, and I asked to see the old bits and they always showed them to me.

Wow £166 for a fully fitted new clutch, that is one bargain I would say. Last year it cost me £520 and the parts for mine came to more than you are paying for the full job. Let us know how it performs Billy because if the jobs a gud un it would be worth peeps traveling and staying the night and even better still if it can be booked in early and done in a day. .... Tom ....

Yes definitely a bargain. On mine the front suspension and axle has to come off. Several hundred pounds worth of work at least.

My front wheel has to come off too. I rang them back today and asked if this was the friction plate only and had they priced me for parts and not labour? They said it was a 3 part assembly (friction plate, pressure plate and bearing?) and the entire job was £166 Ex VAT. with 1 year warranty. TBH it sounds too good to be true but they do all the Vosa stuff up here so I think it's worth a punt.
