You know Windancer has a fence where the dogs are allowed. We could have a large stockade to keep the dogs out

Can we also have kid free, dickhead free, obnoxious pisshead free, and intolerant twat free meets too?
Stepped in dog shit many many times over the years, including on one or two occasions, my dogs', when I've taken my eye off them for a while because they are in a secure area. Never made a big song and dance about it though, that's life, not pleasant but not a disaster. I've also stepped in horse shit, cow shit, sheep shit etc. That's what you get outdoors.
Didn't bother reading the threads over on WC, I saw the titles and thought "stay clear, no point in making myself a target"...
It does make me wonder why I'm spending so much time and effort training Diesel to have manners, to walk nicely to heel off lead, to come back when he's called though.
I suspect the majority of dog owners who have been the recipient of forum flung shit are decent dog owners, and clear up after their dogs, but no one is perfect. There's odd times when it may be missed accidentally if the owner is distracted for a few seconds in which case there's no need to demonise the person.... just mention quietly what you just saw. Saves an awful lot of tension all round.
I just wish people would be as condemning of people who deliberately drop litter.

Littering infuriates me Jess! Whilst I was at Hawes recently, the locals were telling me that the cyclists were the worst offenders, because they are fanatical about lightweight camping, they sling their wrappers and bottles everywhere.
I do clear up other peoples litter whenever I can, as long as it is not too nasty! So it really got my Goat a couple of years ago when I got nicked for littering!!
I had flicked the end off of my fag out of my van window, before putting the butt in a coke can in the cab. Next thing I knew, I got a letter telling me I was being fined. I pointed out that I had deposited a bit of leaf matter on the road, like millions of trees do every day, but they were having none of it.
I suppose I should be grateful that the council concerned were taking littering seriously.
