Looking for a minimum size kitchen pod for your self build? Here's one I did using a footprint of 775mm x 500mm for the Big White Van. This could even go down to 750mm x 475mm if one uses a combined sink and hob unit like the Smev 2 or 3 burner hob and sink package like I have in my van:

Thanks for doing this Vern, food for thought but I still need to fit the gas heater in somewhere too. Unless there is some kind of quick release attachment for gas hose so that heater can be easily detached and stored elsewhere.
At present rubber gas hose is attached both ends to bottle and heater with jubilee clips. Gas bottle needs to be easily accessible when heater is lit so that gas can easily and quickly be turned off unless some kind of on / off switch can be fitted in the gas hose or heater.

Yes I was thinking of a BBQ style outlet for the gas heater. The bottle would be easily accessible to turn off as there would be doors on the front of the unit (preferably rubber sealed for the gas compartment).
You could use a brass tap and nipple so you can push/pull a rubber hose on/off. Could probably get those components for around £10, but can't be too careful with gas, and if you are using it a lot, may be better to get something like Nigel suggested.
