If anyone can find my missing Miss Tibby Tabby I'd be very grateful. If / when she does turn up, she is gonna be grounded for ever. Until I get so irritated with her pestering me for an alternative to Aldi biscuits that I kick her out the van. But only with one of these attached to her www.trackmycat.com/products/loc8tor-pet.html

www.animalsearchuk.co.uk/find-lost-pets/view-pet.php?p=196602&prt=1There's been 2 definite sightings of her, one on Thursday eve or Fri morning, not sure exactly when, in the village, behind the houses fronting the A6 along Kemplay Bank, near the farm but the person shooed her away not realising she was lost, but is sure it was her, and then again in the fields near Mayburgh Henge at 6.30pm this evening, again the people were sure it was her, and thought it was strange as they didn't recognise the cat as being local. I'm currently parked up where the marker is on the map, where she went missing from, having spent 2 hours this evening wandering round behind the houses, through the fields calling her but no sign. I'd gone home yesterday afternoon because I couldn't handle sitting alone in the van just waiting, not knowing if she was alive or dead. But then got a fb message last night to say she'd been spotted, I had posted that she was missing on the local animal rescue fb page and amazingly someone in the village had seen the post and also seen a strange cat hanging round but wasn't sure if it was her till today when they saw her photo, and they confirmed it was her this evening. So I drove back up here from home about 7.30 this evening and spoke to some other locals who saw a strange cat in the fields near the Henge at about 6.30pm this evening, only about an hour before I arrived back here. I was gutted when she disappeared on Thursday, convinced she was killed on a road or the motorway or taken by someone because in 3 years of vanning she's never done this before, but now I know that she was ok just a few hours ago, I'm just cross with her! She's a good hunter and there's loads of baby rabbits inthe fields so I know she can fend for herself, I just don't understand why she's not come back to the van or responded to me calling her as its a quiet night so my voice should carry a fair way and I've been wandering around the village and fields and Henge for a couple of hours. Perhaps she's just sick of Aldi biscuits and prefers wild rabbit, little minx. So it looks like I'm staying here for the foreseeable future till it rains and she gets fed up with gallivanting round the countryside. Damn cat! But I am very relieved she's ok, the animals are my family and after the past couple of months I just couldn't handle another loss and more emotional trauma. I'm only just beginning to pull myself together after mum died in Feb and I've been in a pretty grim place since then. And in my rush to get back up here, I had forgotten that I'd unloaded a load of stuff out of the van last night so got no clean undies for tomorrow, no laptop, and missing various other essentials. I've left lights on in the house, washing in machine, food out on bench in kitchen, thinking I'd simply have to call her and she'd come running and I'd be back home within the hour enjoying my first long soak in a hot bubbly bath since before mum died - I've been on the road since then, mid Feb, couldn't cope with going back home and not well enough to be alone so been with a full timer friend who's been looking out for me over the past month. But at least its been a lovely full moon evening for a wander round an ancient monument although I'd planned on emptying a few bottles at the Full Moon Club tonight. Damn blasted cat. I'll kill her when she finally shows up. She's gonna be shackled to the van till I get one of those locator devices on her. But secretly very relieved she's ok.

Been checking several times today to see if you'd got her yet Jess but guessing she's still out gallivanting? Or sleeping off a tummy full of Easter Bunny? Hope you're doing OK and have enough supplies to keep you and the dogs fed? H x

good ! i've always been more cat person than dog person, and know how quickly cats can revert to feral-about 2 minutes i reckon ! we've left cats and gone off for a week or two ,knowing they can fend for themselves, but they come back after a while ,simply because you're the easy option so,very pleased WVW has her cat back, they are much better therapy than dogs IMO !

Sorry for delayed news, found her about 8.30pm, about quarter of a mile away, at a spot where I'd stayed overnight the previous week... Coincidence or clever cat? It was just on the off chance that I walked up there just in case, and heard a little meow from a garden when I called her name. She's fine, unhurt, purring loudly and has a fat belly after a pouch of wet food and a bowl of biscuits. She wants more food but I don't want her being sick.
The Loc8tor device will be ordered tomorrow and her harness with ID tag will be staying on now permanently.
The dogs and I are shattered, having tramped miles round and round the nearby village and footpaths over past few days. Princess puss is presently enjoying prime position in front of the heater.
Lol, and having left my number in the village pub and exchanged a few words with a 28 year old male in there at the time, I later received a cheeky text and proposition from him, and he's spent since teatime trying to convince me that I want to invite him into my van tonight. As I was 18 when he was born, I have declined gratefully but firmly and given him 11 out of 10 for effort. So a good day all in all... my family is back together again, and my ego has had a good boost :-D

Who is Riverwatcher? Its not Morgan the moon is it?
Edit - just read your intro post so now I know you're not Morgan. Welcome aboard from a fellow self converted (sort of) transit owner, mine is the noisy 10 a penny diesel type, white.
WVW stands for white van woman by the way.
There's a fair contingent of us planning to be at farmer Phil's festival in Shropshire, mid August, £70 for 7 days camping including 3 day festival. Nice small festival, no silly rules, good music, picturesque surroundings so do join us if that's your kind of thing.
Second edit - Doh! I am a fuckwit. Of course I know who River watcher is. Glad to see you here xx

Great news about the cat Jess. Pity you never took that guys offer up, you could have ended up with a traveling companion for life and perhaps shared expenses. Ah well no company better than your own when you want peace and quiet. Catch you about somewhere soon. .... Tom ....

Lol, no room in my life for a man, and no room in my van either!
Although I should have found out what he does for a job, if he's a mechanic I could be tempted to change my mind ;-)

I've sent him a letter asking what he does Jess. If he is a mechanic or millionaire I will let you know so you can make some nifty moves in the right direction. .... Tom ....

Good thinking about the millionaire possiblity Tom, that would be most advantageous! Although from what he looked like, he did look more likely to be a mechanic than a millionaire. But then I didn't have my specs on so I couldn't really tell what he looked like ;-)
