As far as I know the byway is still open but the only way in and out now is to turn left off or onto the A303...they wont allow you to do a right turn. You can come in from Larkhill Camp I think, as they've improved the road but not sure if the gates by the old toilets are shut or not.
A bunch of plebs from here are planning to go to the Autumn Equinox ......may be one of the last chances we get to campby the stones.

I don't think they can close the BOAT permanently without a TRO and/or a public enquiry. If they try a TRO again there will be 1000's of objections.
We will be ready!

We have heard that the fences are going to be moved in but whether right or not I do not know ? We will be checking it out some time next week on way back from Cornwall. There are plenty of places nearby so will check them out too .

The A 303 improvements are still being talked about and many still want the tunnel to be built ! One day it will all change as they will never be allowed to dual the road by the stones . Just looked and found a few articles it is now the health and safety aspect they are trying as saying joining traffic is causing a danger ? They will not no be happy until it is closed and I guess truth is it is a few who use it ? They are also saying the drove is becoming busier after new visitor centre opened ? What a suprise at £15 a shot !

Am here parked on the byway now. The place is eerily deserted of campervans. Access still available by turning left only off the A303. Just cycled up to Larkhill and that road is clear although at the Larkhill end someone has placed large concrete fence posts and a couple of tree trunks at either side of the road. Ready to block access at a moment's notice? The gate, although open, has a lock and chain attached to it and is not overgrown with vegetation so am guessing it is closed at times.....no-one around to ask

we were at Stonehenge for the Autumn Equinox Monday and Tuesday nights 21st 22nd 23rd Sept and had no problems wilding, there were about 70 vans there in total, we had a fire to keep us warm, we entered via Larkhill with no problems others came off the 303 Road.We were allowed to enter the Stones for the Equinox . s1039.photobucket.com/user/Mushmush/library/Equinox%202015
