Pretty bad here today, although obviously not as bad as in the West. It started snowing heavily around 8 this morning and didn't stop until about 2pm... proper blizzard conditions for a while there! We had to go out in it earlier and, since we've got the van on our drive, we parked our little Aygo on a neighbour's sloping drive when we got home, after a very hairy time on the roads round here. We unpacked our stuff, locked the car and then watched in horror as it slid sedately back down into the road and stopped halfway across in the deep stuff!!!! Thank goodness no-one was driving past at the time! It's now parked down the road somewhere nice and flat! I think that's us for the next day or so but we're due more on Sunday. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen... I've got a 2-hour drive into deepest Kent on Monday morning and back on Tuesday

It`s allwhite here ! We have about 10 centimetres or 4 inches for the oldies ! Karen just set off back to Chesterfield so hope the roads are not too bad . I bet that motor Gnome Martin only let the car slide down the road as he thought it would save him some fuel ?

It's continued all morning here and to mid-afternoon leaving us with a good 5" of white crunchy snow. Toboggans are out on the hills and the snowballers are having a great time but apart from this, life has more or less ground to a halt with schools and shops closed and 4WDs slithering along the main roads while minor roads and lanes are impassable.

I think we have had about 3 inches in total. It's that very fine whirly icy stuff. Not big flakes at all, but very persistent and it settles. Bloody cold too, it will be travel chaos tomorrow probably!

About 6" here and we're still having light flurries. Everywhere looks wonderful - a real white wilderness.
If only I could get my van out of the driveway and down the hill, I'd take off to the Brecon Beacons which must look stunning in this weather.

The slippery, ice and snow covered roads have severely affected my wife's driving.
She inadvertently went in a straight line today.

It's still cold and snowed a little overnight, roads are passable. I hope your wife is Ok FF, that's if she crashed.

Snow day for the schools here. Instead of the children slipping on the school playing field and hurting themselves they are playing snowballs all day on the heath and slipping, hurting themselves there instead ;D

I have 'borrowed' the heater from our camper to use in my freezing office - although it is warmer today than yesterday... In fact I would say it is thawing and so very slushy. I am a soft southerner.

Almost saw the sun just then, but it's disappeared totally now behind another wall of grey.
Really icy this morning but a bit of a thaw around midday.
