The Vax one looks good. Smaller reservoir, but only £35.00 and for van windows you don't need a big reservoir.

Refurbed though, so it depends what was wrong with it in the first place. I know Vax has a good name but sometimes you pay extra just for the name.
I'd still rather pay an extra £15 for the accessories and spare battery - for me, without a solar charge to my leisure battery, the spare battery will be very useful. I bet a new spare battery wouldn't be much less than £15.
Mine will get a lot of use both in the van and at home on a daily basis because of having single glazing so a smaller reservoir would be a disadvantage for me.
Thanks for the link though OH.

I read on Amazon that some of the Karcher ones had faulty switches so those Vax ones are probably returns due to electrical faults or other minor niggles.
I'd only be using mine in the van and I think I may lose the extra accessories or they would just be more van clutter. The Vax does come with some microfibre pads though.

I think (not 100% sure) that anything bought online has a statutory 7 or 14 day money back guarantee as it's classed as distance selling, although B&Q is usually pretty good about returns although not sure if they'd refund it just because you changed your mind, which you can do if it's distance selling. So if bought online, you could probably get away with testing it and returning it if not suitable so long as you completely dried it off and repackaged it exactly as it arrived.

Again not 100% sure, but I think you are right, except that you are liable for the postage.

Anything bought online which wasn't made to order can be returned, at your own expense, within 7 days of the delivery date but must be returned unused and in a saleable condition with any seals unbroken. It's not quite the same as 'try before you buy'!

Thank you, that's really kind of you. No I haven't bought one yet, so if you've still got it and it's working, I'd be glad of it. robmac might be coming up to Ribblehead in March so if anyone could get it to him that would be great. And I think he heads up north past my house on the M6 quite regularly too so I could meet up with him at the motorway services. Not sure where Ham Hill is except that it's darn sarf!

Fantastic, I can meet you at Tebay Services just after J38.
So I'm guessing that Ham Hill is a meet? When is it?
