Mornin’ all, Sounds peaceful outside here at Taunton, which is good after all the wind we’ve been getting here. We’re parked near a walnut tree and it’s been a bumper crop this year (date & walnut cakes sorted for the next year), it’s been a race to collect them before the squirrels do. We recently bought an old banger for running around while we’re stuck here and t’other morning, when I fired it up the throttle jammed open; guess what the cause was – b*****y walnut shells. It seems the squirrels thought our engine compartment was a good dry place to eat the nuts and leave the empty shells beside the throttle linkage, bless um. The next day, I couldn’t get first or second gear; walnut shells again, jamming the gear linkage! Now that all the nuts have fallen, I’m hoping that’s the end of the problem, but I still lift the bonnet every morning to be on the safe side. Hi Jac, you're about early!

It's a good bit of coastline. I used to fish the beaches around Norfolk and Suffolk in the winter. That was many years ago before they had fished out the cod stocks. We used to dig bait at Snettisham on Saturday, fish through the night and drive home Sunday morning. There were good catches of cod and whiting to be had then and I think the codling are showing up again now.

I'm awake…….And hungry! I went to bed early so I could get up early and do all my housework before I have a visitor at 08:30. Should not have gone on the forums! LOL Now I want to get up, make food and drink wine! I think I may struggle to get up early enough for massive cleaning required in the morning! Your methods sound suspiciously like mine, Winddancer! Rush round like the blue *rsed fly at the last minute before visitors come Well I'm up and not quite at 'em yet. Still dark but surprisingly mild when I poked my nose out the door earlier. Just got to jump in shower in a bit then I'm off to Rothbury Northumberland this morning to do some auction viewing with my big sis. Catch you later... had a nice roast Chicken dinner tonight accompanied by no alcohol whatsoever. Was really nice, but I don't think the concept will catch on.
By the way, Julie reckons that Trevskoda at the other place is mistaking our Ruby for the 'Monkey Face Avatar' - bloomin' cheek!

((((bbrrrrrrr)))) .....Morning Chris I'm awake, another early start this morning for me....I certainly got me winter woollies on today. I have to go down to the van sometime today ....I realised I left and uncooked chicken pizza on the side. I have visions of the mice cracking open a few bottles, kicking off their clogs and having a sleazy lock in on pizza and booze and trashing the place ...hmmmmm I think really need to get down there quick sharp. Have a good day peeps
