Hi Terry, Having previously searched south of Edinburgh, knowing you lived in Dalkeith and your mate may live nearby. I was stumped until your clue for Soutra Hill. This I googled and realised I needed to look further south. A quick check of map, then a google image search for Archway Lauder came up with the archway in a Rightmove ,co.uk advert for £499.000 house. A brief search with Streetview around the given post code revealed a suitable wild camp at picnic spot and would you believe it an archway around the corner. Try this easy one, 250 tons of stainless steel......I do like large sculptures! Alec.

Correct Terry, up on top of the horse's neck is a viewing platform, usualy full of Jap tourists and in the basement a museum with some bronze age relics.
