To kick off the thread again, where was I? This should be quite an easy one this time!! I'll take a stab at John o' Groats. Is that Hoy in the background? Seems a bit close so i'm probably wrong. Did you know you're turning ginger by the way?

I was waiting for someone to guess Vernon's pic. I haven't a clue where it is.
In the meantime, yes, you're right re my pic. It's John o'Groats harbour with Orkney in the distance.

York? In flood, again! Sent by Android from Cloud Cuckoo Land Spot on! The riverfront taken from the Ousegate bridge. The building in the centre of the photo is The Kings Arms which has been flooded scores of times in the last 200 years. In the bar they have a depth guage showing the level each flood reached along with the date. They are very hardy there though.....just mop it all up and are pulling pints again within a couple of weeks. My daughter (who took the photo) says that this flood beat the all time record.

PM'd you - if I'm right let someone else have a shot Damn and blast you Firefox, have you got shares in Google Earth or have you just got an encyclopedic geographical memory? Yes, you're right again!!!! But let's see if anyone else gets it. Admittedly it will be easier for those who are my FB friends.

You're too kind But, it is a very well known landmark, and I have spent a fair amount of time round that way. I'm hoping this will be relatively easy for someone...
