It's not in Bixhill Lane, Goldfish, look for Reservoir Drive off Coleshill Road as per: goo.gl/maps/SgLMzNo gate or barrier AFAIK. Thanks vern, I take that just follow Reservoir Drive into car park to the left , Google shows a wonder gate , hope it will be left open after 6pm Hope to catch up sometimes. Regards

Bet there is not a freebie in sight these days ? Gone are the days of a free pen or key fob and mugs and Goodie bags ? Ask them all how they manage to stick all those egg boxes together with toffee and chocolate ?

Now, Charlie! I can just imagine the reaction of the CC and the C&CC when they saw our stand! lmao Well, I've been and seen it and won't be going again. Gets mind-numbing after a while. Lots of posh, very expensive campers. All very nice etc. but when comparing with our old girl there's not much the new ones have that we don't in ours - apart from the newest trends in materials and "fashion" items. In fact, some of the fittings and fixtures in them were badly planned and fitted. When you're forking out 50 to 80k plus they were really bad, imo. Would have a new Mercedes Auto-sleeper though, if I had the money - well, not new, cos even if I could afford it I would still buy a second hand one from some very rich person who gets bored and swops their camper every year or two The only other camper that impressed me with layout and amount of kit on board for their small size was the Nu Rio range from Nu Venture range. Would suit me fine if I was a solo camper Still just a pipe dream at 36k though Life: unfinished threads in a never-ending tapestry

Home with very sore feet. We splashed out on a brush to wash the van with and a new shower head that Paul ( flyby) recommended so if I don't like it Paul you owe me......
It was lovely to catch up with Ems, Vern, Anne, Paul and Penny and to meet newbie Alec.
We did see a couple of vans we would like..... Sunlight and Eldis .... But wouldn't buy one new anyway even if we could afford it...

Good to catch up over a coffee and meet some new people! I had an enjoyable day poking about in all the posh vans! Lots of layouts to look at and think about. I thought there would be more shopping stalls like at the bike show, not sure I'd go again although if I won some tickets next year its not a bad day out, my brother and nephew enjoyed it! We spent more time looking at trailer tents and folding caravans (my brother has a trailer tent so enjoyed comparing his old one with the new ones!)

Just back too, and have had a lovely time. Stayed Sat night at Shustoke Resrvoir with Vern, Rob, Paul and Penny, Chris & Phil amd Alec (Livitout) Went for drinks and dinner in nearbye pub, which we had to vacate due to evil smells emanting from one who shall remain nameless. All back to Penny's gorgeous new van which fitted us all in amazngly, had a great evening, loads of laughs, dramk more wine and enjoyed copious brews provided by our lovely hostess. Paul was a bit too quiet for my liking though! Show today, and lovely to meet up with Ems, Lee & Linda and meet Millie for the first time. Me Vern and Alec tootled around together and managed not to lose each other, didnt buy much just a cap for my external water filling hole to replave current plastic glove stuck in there and we all bough a £10 bargain bag of salami sausages. I agree with Marie, i actually didn't see a layout that suits me better tan my current van, even in the new autosleepers. The highlight for me was the wooden huts with log burner stove in middle. and seats all around edge with reindeer skins, absolutely lovely and they count as temprary buildings you can have in woodlands. Wish had taken a piccie to show you all, never seen anything like it. Fitted about 10 people around the outside I think, and then the fire in the middle had slide out cooking things and a wooden circle around it with a removable wooden tray for each person, I think i need to find a link cos not describing it very well.

Well found Marie, I did have a quick google but couldn't find anything. (It was me btw not Winddancer!). Thet is realy simi;ar if not even the same. Really cosy. everyone sitting around in a circle with fire in middel to cok over, and then dopending what size you could also slide out something we didn't actually see to make up beds . Vern says we can have one for the woodlands!! Mind you he also said we could have this massive wooden shed with a proper bar, a toilet at the back and big projector screen perfect for woodland raves!! Cheers Vern!!

I reckon we would be better off with a big Tipi or Bell Tent with a woodburner Anne. Lot less money and can be taken away at the end of a meet rather than left for the local scumbags to invade! By the way, Reindeer hides are available quite cheaply; www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/reindeer-hideBut if anybody is anti Fur trade, don't forget Reindeer are reared for meat and so the hide might as well be used rather than wasted.

that would also be lovely rob. but in the event that we do actually purchase some woodlands you are allowed to erect a shed for storing tools. and apparently you are legally obliged to manage your woods ir the deeds can be taken away so you do actually need tools so a locable hut would be very handy .. especially one with a wood burner and nice social layout!!

Well if we bought a suitable shed, I'd be up for the internal fitout (seating etc.)
Mind you, I suppose we'd better get the woodland first!

Yes, looked at all folding options! I'm even tempted to get a trailer tent but it would mean I'd stick to campsites, although it would save me a load of money as I'd keep my car! I'm still new to the campervan/motorhome thing and not yet sure its right for me. Another option is a roof tent but I'd be lugging it about all the time so a trailer tent would make more sense! I used my tent in Germany this year and loved it more than I thought I would, I thought I'd miss the van, the bit I don't like is blowing up air beds!

Roof tents are great Ems, I've just sold one! but loved it before I got the MH. I still love tent camping, but never use airbeds, they deflate with the cold and are not comfortable. Better off with a camping mat and a thick winter sleeping bag.

Had a great time. Nice to see everyone again! Sunday night, lock in till 1.00am at the Plough and got chatting to a few locals. Quite some characters, including one old boy, Terrance, who quizzed me on places around Britain plus history of structures! Had to be on your toes for that after a few jars lotusanne I since learned those things we saw are called BBQ huts. Article here: www.telegraph.co.uk/property/interiorsandshopping/3360843/The-rise-of-the-barbecue-hut.htmlThe ones we saw were from Garden Exteriors: www.gardenexteriors.com/I think they are at the higher end of the market. Yes we can have one with a bar, but as Rob says, we need a place to put it first
