Researched, and decided to pre order one of these from curry s for a childs birthday hoping to compare in the shop and make a final decision there and then. screencast.com/t/vPE7XdiZPerfect, right price, right spec and off I went for a wander leaving her to it and not realising she wouldnt mention the pre order in my name. I caught up with her paying for it and her pleased the salesman had found it on offer at £89 - result she thought ! Before the cash was in the till i noticed it wasnt the one we had been looking at and on questioning the salesman who started to look really shifty, it turns out he' s attempting to sell us this. screencast.com/t/MWORRkxVgjAfter having him squirm a bit he conceeded they were out of stock which had led him to attempt hoodwink and con us and present his act of deciept as a kindness having discovered an offer to our benefit when infact he was selling a £75 tablet to us for £89. Pc world I knew were out of stock, so I had little choice but to pull the reserved order out, and low and behold, in the reserved cupboard behind the counter was the correct product. Cant trust anyone !!!!!!!! ------------------------------------------------- Had a play with it (not that i ve ever used a tablet before) and it s quite fast at browsing, even recognises speach and is easy to use. Runs at 1.6 with 1g of ram on jellybean, mini hdmi, earphones , mini usb, micro sd and costs less than a nintendo DS !

Shops like Currys and PCWorld (they are the same company really - they are even merging stores across the country) no longer "sell" things to you. What they do is "extract" money from you. Lots of business have that philosophy now, more particularly, the larger corporate ones. PS This is my specialist subject.

Bloody hell, the bare faced cheek of him trying to do that, wonder if he would have pocketed the difference? Were you tempted to take it up with his manager? That is really tantamount to attempted theft/ deceipt/ exortion. But at least you noticed in time and got what you wanted, sounds like a good deal too. I would be interetsed to know how you get on with it, as I am looking for a cheap tablet and that sounds like a pretty good deal. Btw - do you know how to tell the difference between all the different Android versions - jellybean, ice cream sandwich etc? I only recently discovered that each successive version is named with the next letter of the aphabet - so Jellybean is a later version than Ice cream sandwich etc - doh obvious when you notice - bit i never did!

I personally think a strong worded email should be sent off to head office with the hint of going to the the trading standards office as regarding this matter which is tantamount to theft

Called in to currys today and explained all to the manager who initially was scheptical, but after a pleasant conversation with the guy who sold it, used his wizardry to refund me the price difference.
A good result!
carried on with our day with a buffet eat all you can lunchtime and as I was about to pay I was saying I would only be having soup as I had the stomach bug and strangely the assistent said she would nt charge me for my entry which was another good result !
Got home and had a further play with the tablet and couldnt resist plugging a dongle into the mini usb to see if I could get it to connect via 3g knowing I could factory reset if I messed things up. Not sure what all the fuss is about when doing this, as within minutes it was up and running on 3g so another dam good result !
Bar a gripey stomach its been a good day !

Brilliant, well done and glad it worked out better this time.
If you get your internet from BT you can use this to access their wireless hotspots everwhere, just a thought as its loads faster than 3G and they are absoluyely tons of hotspots now so works pretty well for Tablets
