I have one of those suitcase freesat set ups from lidl, bought a while ago & we're planning on a trip to France at the end of June, our first time driving/not in a hotel etc, we only have a week all in, including travel both ways, so we're planning on setting up base somewhere & going off touring on the motorbike, so does anyone know if the dish is OK? & does anyone have any tips of where to set up base, we like a nice quiet drink of a night, somewhere with enough to keep me busy for a week within a 50 mile radius of base & near to the beach, we aren't the type of people who can sit on the beach all day, but it's nice to pop down for a swim or an evening stroll when the mood takes.

Well it depends on how far you want to drive, obviously the South is the warmest, but the second sunniest region is the Charente/Charente Maritime, lots of loverly countryside as its the major grape growing region for congnac and loverly beaches on theAtlantic coast.

Whatever comes up, I'm not one for a certain brand, as long as I can get a bed across the back everything else can be worked around that
