Just found this site and am enjoying perusing the different topics. Have just changed motorhomes from a 1991 Elddis Autostratus to a 2002 Autosleeper Rienza. Not been anywhere in it yet, still got to unload the Elddis when it returns from the garage. Just finding our way round the Rienza and as of yet, have found no leisure battery and can't work out how to lock the habitation door from the inside!! Will keep popping in here pretty regularly to see what's going on with you all.

Hello nickandchris ! Welcome ! Do you think the LB may be hidden in a box in the floor, does everything Orkney in the back? If so it must be hiding somewhere Good luck with the new van.

Hi again Nick and Chris! We have some members from up Cumbria way Try under the seats if it is a Transit based model Rienza? Sometimes they fitted the leisure battery in front of the original Ford vehicle battery (under driver's seat). Or try under the passenger seat.

Thanks everyone. We believe batteries are under driver's seat but haven't found how to get at them yet. Yes, it is a Ford Transit.

Hello from near Shap
In my Transit van, the main battery is under driver's seat, you have to slide seat forward as far as poss to get to battery, it's fiddly and cramped though. Can you access it from the back?

Hi fan wen fenyw, thanks for the info. We will be able to take a proper look this weekend in the daylight.I think Nick said he could slide the seat forward but still couldn't get to the batteries. Another problem is only some of the interior main lights work, the ones in the back section of the van.

Ellisboy and Firefox can probably help with electrics, but we've all changed our names in past couple of days (my name at present means whitevanwoman in welsh), I think Ellisboy is now Mike Oxlong and Firefox is Oscillate, but that may change again today. Childish fun!

You may have to unbolt the seat, or push it right forward if there are stop nuts you can slacken which allow you to do that. First stop to check the lights would be the leisure side fuse box/distribution board if you can find that

I was supposed to be quoting the last part of Firefox's post and saying "a very good question" but the quoting didn't work.

it could be under the bonnet as some trannies have one each side well rts does first thing to find is the gas shut off then find the fuse box and turn everything on and pull fuses one by one just make sure that you have the code for radio and make a note of which ones do what and get spares of the important one
