What we all dread !, the 'few' who ruin it for the rest of us. I have just finished a 3 month tour, i parked free every night, completely off grid & not once did i see a reason to litter or dump at any time. There are public toilets, litter bins, recycling centeres, always a way to dispose of unwanted waste responsibly, no excuses ! The car drivers & truckers who toss their litter out of their windows onto laybys & road verges are enough to contend with, without our own motorhomers (Reserves the word 'fellow') adding to the mix.
British people, they take too much for granted.

I'd like to see the evidence, 9 out of 10 empty their rubbish indeed. I'm sure there might be the odd one but I'm equally sure most are responsible people who take it away with them. If I find a place to over night and there's rubbish dumped there I try to take fill a carrier or two and take some away with me if it's not too horrible.
The worst places are lay-bys on busy roads. The bushes nearby are well worth keeping away from and that's nothing to do with motorhomes or campers.
