We have managed to hire the Functions Barn at:
Glebe Farm Peel Lane Astbury Congleton CW12 4RQ
53.151008, -2.229466
This is great news for everyone who likes to party the old year away, and welcome in the new!
We have managed to negotiate reduced pitch charges for this event, and they will be £6.50 per unit per night, and on top of that there will be a single charge, per person, to help towards the hire, lighting and heating of the Barn. At this stage, I am suggesting £10 per person, although this may change, depending on the level of support indicated.
If everyone brings their own food and drinks, we can either eat our own food or make up a buffet table, so that we can share with others.
We will also be hiring the sound mixer, amps and speakers, and will arrange for a good selection of party music, so we can dance and party the night away. Look out for a few embarrassing party games for good measure!
Splitty has agreed to join us for the evening, and will help to make the evening even more memorable in his own style!
We are still in the very early stages of organising this event, and any useful suggestions will be very welcome.
The site has fresh water, a FREE hot shower and a cassette dump. The on-site shops are open every day except New Years Day. Leveling chocks will come in handy, as not all of the field is level.
I will be very pleased to put names down, BUT only if you are genuinely interested in coming along please, as I am trying to work out costings, to ensure that we can keep it to a minimum.
Best regards Rog, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Looks good.
I'm quite interested in this. Nice central venue and reasonable price
Ribblehead last year was a bit of a let down, what with the overpriced £25 Buffet that nobody ate!

Good venue, allowed a fire as well in the place the farmer has his the more vans the cheaper the barn becomes, at the moment based on 20 vans

If it's on WC, they'll get at least 30 which is when it starts becoming a bit big.

It's a large field Vern, with plenty of room for everyone. Unfortunately, the field is not all level, so folks should expect to have to use levelling blocks. The barn should be fine for around about two hundred people, possibly more, so no worries there. Best regards Rog.

New years day is on a Friday so you get a long weekend away, but the 3 hour drive on new years eve would put me off and I've run out of holiday to take the day off

I can do this venue in about 2 hours from my place.
Stafford Services is 120 miles and two hours, and is about the half way point on my 4 1/2 hour journey to Ribble head

Hi biil yes it's still on and looking popular , not many places left. There is a lot of info on the other site. I would guess you can arrive and leave whenever you want as it is a camping field in a farm

Preparations are in full swing for the New Year Party, which has proved to be a very popular Meet. There is only room now for a handful of vans, so if anybody is interested put your names down now , before it is too late! The original posting on WC is worth a read, as things are moving forward, and details of how to pay are shown. It is important that you request to come along, and be accepted, before you pay please. We don't want to disappoint anybody.
Regards Rog.
