As raised by Carol and Annie in the other thread, when you have all got over Farmer Phils, France, Shitty City etc how about Halloween somewhere?
Probably looking at Fri October 30 to Sun Nov 1
Before we have been to Radwell (J10 A1m), Maybe Ribblehead (a bit far North?) or maybe Ragley Boat stop (Just south of Derby).
I am not sure we could have a fire at Ragley, but we could at Radwell/Ribblehead. Any other suggestions, Midlandish?

Maybe not Ribblehead but the others sound good - Ron should be driving by then - in fact I am hoping he can do shitty city - keeping my fingers crossed. I am getting withdrawal symptoms not having been away since May.

as a worker in the North Ribblehead is a long way south, but I could bring Yvette for a more southerly meet.
I have been to the Miners Standard Winster for Beardy meets £5 a night fires allowed.

Bugsworth a good idea, we could have fire there. About 2.5 hours for me, not too bad. Also the Miners Standard maybe - not tried that one yet

I'd go for the Miners or Buxworth. It's 2-3 hours for me but I think Derbs is fairly convenient for many?

I wonder if 31 foot long, 8ft wide Winnebegos can reach the Miner's Standard Its one of Kimbo's finds. We went a few years back and it was a great night with the locals all dressing up and a band on in the pub. The meals was good, and you can have EHU for a fee on top of the nightly rent. The draw back is the field is on a quiet steep slope and can get very soft in winter. Two vans made it up to the top where it was flatter but the rest of us parked on the hard standing car park. It was very tight getting us all in and we was virtually touching bumper to bumper. Steve brought a large tent like Ron and Penny have and we had BBQs in that. We had walks round the old town so all in all it was a very good weekend. You can also have a fire and there is a wood yard next to the pub. .... Tom ....

I'd like it to be , but I don't have time to organise it at the moment. So if anyone else wants to contact the Miner's Standard or their preferred venue, feel free

If you are wanting it to be a birthday bash you would be best to consult the birthday girl before going ahead and arranging anything as she has already show interest in going to the Brampton Halloween Rock event and she is notorious for booking in at multiple events and appearing at none

There were a couple of birthday girls as I recall but we don't actually need a birthday. That's just the initial excuse for some beers! Halloween would be good enough PS It's my birthday early December

A girl's prerogative to change her mind eh. Well I can talk ... won't be going to Greywell after all. Still thinking about Stonehenge though - it's a tough one, mid week for this equinox.

Ive found a possible venue..at the Cotton Arms Wrenbury in cheshire its situated right next to the Lllangolen canal. It has a rally field for 120 vans. Ive just had a quick call to them and its £5 per night without EHU but he was busy and i have to phone him later for price with EHU... Can folks let me know if this is ok for everyone and ill book it...!! www.cottonarms.com/index.php/facilities
