Vernon had to go into hospital yesterday for a minor operation. All went well in the night and he is now recovering from the anesthetic. Should be home this afternoon. He doesn't have his phone with him so can't receive calls
Get well soon lad you've work to do!

Thanks for all the well wishes! Am on the mend now.
Though have been saddled with loads of bloody tablets. Once they start getting hold of you and doing tests it never stops! BP was 170/90 when I went in but stabilised to 125/80 after I was in for a while. But I have been hit with blood pressure tablets and cholesterol ones.

Hope you are fit for Kirkby Lonsdale as have some medicinal scotch that needs trying
170/90 is nothing been far higher than that, watch out for the long term side effects of those tablets they give you it creeps up on you years later as I have recently found out.

Glad to see you are back on track Vern, sure I've heard that a glass of red wine a day helps reduce your cholesterol.

Sorry to hear of your illness Vern. You seemed fine at Whitwell Station so it was a shock when the news got to me that you had been taken into hospital for an operation. I am just glad you managed to get a round in before you left for work later on that night .. Only got home yesterday so this is the first time on the puter. Take care mate, catch you soon. .... Tom ....
