Lidl are selling the folding saws again from next Thursday (5th March) at £2.99. I have a few of these dotted about and can only say that the quality is equal to other saws costing several times the price. They are great if you like to have the odd campfire (Annie!). www.lidl.co.uk/en/our-offers-2491.htm?action=showDetail&id=21339

I have couple of these.
A word of warning though. I have a stupid habit of using saws as a machete to slice through smaller branches and brambles with a swinging action. It is very effective too, but these saws used like that can fold back up and catch your fingers on the handle.
I have mine taped up to prevent this. Kind of defeats the folding action! But they are still cheap and sharp.

Mine had a spring lock which I managed to overide. So the ones with a solid mechanical lock will be best.

Didn't go down well when I forgot it was on my belt and walked round tesco for some food. Got a wide berth on the way out. As for the saw I have one and they are fine if you are happy to do all the work. If you want the tool to do it for you buy a silky. Amazing tool.
