cheap and very handy especially if plumbing with flexible hose pipe. i always heat the end of the pipe till a bit soft then tighten the jubilee clip.if you see those little socket sets with hexagonal drives that usually come with sets of screwdriver bits,ideal for bloodless tightening of jubilee clips and many other uses ! working with any plastic on a cold day can be helped by warming with the gun,vinyl goes down better,edging strip is easier to bend,you can join 2 bits of kitchen waste pipe by heating one and stretching it over the other. sometimes if using secondhand roof vents,theres a gap when fitted as the roof is too thick,a bit of flat upvc trim can be heated and stuck with double sided foam tape
