Yes with a cheap tent from Asda, all you have to do is leave the broken tent with huge piles of rubbish and beer cans strewn all over the camping field when you depart, and you can get all the atmosphere of a big festival at a fraction of the cost

I could come down in my Vauxhall Zaphira. Put all the seats down and shove a Eiderdown in the back to sleep on. Everyone could bring me breakfast and food and tea. I could use there toilets and showers. But no way am I sleeping with Rocco in such a confined space. His licking would have me spotless but leave me feeling drowned. And no way could I share his base discharges at such close range. Looks like I will have to wait for my axle to arrive. All have a great time ,, .... Tom ....

Yes, it's fading in and out for me on Three. Sorry to miss you. We went on an 8 mile walk to the Stipperstones and back via the Bridges pub. I'll get something to eat and then have a scout round, see if I can see you. If all else fails St3v3 has a green and white gazebo at the top of the slope in front of the main stage, where we tend to congregate during the gigs, or there will probably be a campfire tonight between the RV and the green/yellow tent. Come along if you like campfires, all welcome

Here is the Stiperstones walk courtesy of RubbertrampThe campsite is marked with an arrow. About 7.5 miles, moderate hills with a section very rocky underfoot up along the stones. Go anticlockwise and you can stop for a well deserved jar at the Bridges PH near the end.

Ooh, Dr Feelgood - last saw them in 1982. Didn't realise they were still around. Yes I have not seen them live before. I believe the band line up has changed over the years with non of the original members still playing but the current line up have been with the band over 30 years. Most impressive was Steve Walwyn on lead guitar: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_WalwynAbsolutely stunning blues riffs and all round musical talent, probably the best guitarist I saw all weekend.

If I'm not mistaken, Feelgood's lead guitarist & main driving force (played with just his fingers) left a long time ago. (Thought he'd died recently, but apparently not.) Thanks for putting up the great photos, by the way - appreciating what I missed (Although the Druridge meet was also rather good.)

Took one of Chris ...having a jump!!...hoping she,ll put it on soon OMG I thought I'd stumbled onto a porn site or you was holding the festival at a dogging area. Then Chris put the photo up and all was explained .. Great photo by the way. How did you do it?. Did they just jump up in the air or did they jump off something. I remember that walk last year, was sure glad when we reached the pub. Last year there was only one dog Rig, there looked quiet a lot this year. More photos Al. .... Tom ....

That point where the photo was taken was only 1/4 of the way round before the Hollies, so most dogs went back then. However Joe, Holly, and Beau did the whole walk. Jumps are impressive, a pro volleyball attacker would be proud of those

Hmmm... looks like it wasn't that good really, I reckon. C'mon admit it yer didn't have all that great a time, didn't live up to expectations, bands were all crap and you wish you'd gone to Druridge instead.

Drudge kind of sums up the other place... see any bands there then Corrected my spelling of Drur idge now, tah. The only 'band' was me trying entertain the troops on my 6 string around the campfire. Not successful - too cold amongst my many excuses. Think they only wanted me to play She'll Be Coming Round The Mountain...

I got mine out a few times Sort of got through Blowin' in the Wind, Streets of London, and House of the Rising Sun. People will say they know the words/tune and will help you out, but I have learned from bitter experience, one has to know the whole thing perfectly, and they will come in with the odd line if they can remember it!

Too right. Do you know the other verses of She'll Be Coming Round The Mountain? I certainly don't, don't think I want to know and bet they didn't either. They didn't even join in with Hey Jude (Na Na Na Na-Na-Na Nah) - far too contemporary for them, I reckon.
