Hi Neil, I've got the details in a FB post somewhere...Onion knows. I'm supposed to be going but was in the van yesterday and no leisure battery, which presumably means no heating. I'll check today. I think it's a fuse but what do I know?

I think it's a fuse but what do I know? Is a cheap volt meter too techy for you? Have a look at the fuse on the wire from the battery - see if the wire inside it has broke. Sorry, being patronising if you already know all this.

Carol get your volt meter on the battery and see if it is flat or not. If it is then you will have to start checking things out. But first get your new battery charger on it and get it charged up. A better idea would be to charge one of your spare batteries up. When its full which don't take long with those new impulse chargers then just swap the batteries. Before you connect up the positive lead to the battery put the meter between the wire and the pole on the battery and see if you have any flow. If you have then perhaps there is something left switched on. Make sure the negative pole is connected up. If there is no flow it looks like a fuse or a bad connection somewhere. Let us know how you get on. .... Tom ....

Thanks Neil and Tom. I don't think the leisure battery is very accessible as it's under the driver's seat I think....it's so horrible out there I can't face it! Why I think it's a fuse is because the zig unit wasn't working and when I went into the van last night I switched the light on. It came on then went straight off, then nothing worked. The main battery is fully charged. It's really annoying cos it's going to be parked up for a month when I go to India, tho I've arranged for someone to turn the engine over for me. If I don't get the leisure battery sorted will it affect the main battery?

It should not effect the main battery but leaving the leisure battery flat in situ is not good for it, specially in this weather. Mine is under the seat but I don't find it to difficult to get at. If you push the seat to the steering wheel can you not get behind it. Oh just remembered you got swivel plates on haven't you. That will block you getting direct from the top. Hmmmm could be quite tricky if you can't get under from the back or front. Just have a look at it and see if you can come up with an entrance. Perhaps sending Mike (Spiggot) a private message asking him how he gets to his battery might help. Ron has a similar layout but I think his is in his engine compartment and may not be able to help. Let me know how you get on. .... Tom ....

Have been too busy sorting out tax, MOT, and insurance for the van, plus unloading after 4 months, and waiting to hear about medical appointments since getting home 3 weeks ago.
Van is now legal for the next 11 months although with oil leak and front brake discs which will need replacing within the next couple of months :-(
Still waiting on medical appointments... :-(
Got so much to sort out that it's day by day at the moment. Dogfest could be the start of another long road trip if it all gets too much and I need to run away again ;-)

Everyone just staying over on Saturday night, then? Not staying over Friday or Sunday?
Would probably have to ask Bill or find somewhere else. I know, we'll all park round at Jess's down the road - she'll like that! (so will her neighbours.) There's also the reservoir near Shap, or maybe somewhere else near Kendal.
