But I had to use my head not my heart. exactly the same as bedford rascal just few minor cosmectic differences the headlightand sidelights but engines are same size drove up north to see marieand drove it up to the music meetin yourkshire had to change it as was struggling without power steering then when on way back from somewhere the gearbox or gearbox linkage went and then itook it off the road it been parked up now for few months wellabout six months and was waiting till it got warmer before ipass it onas it is rare beastie these daywell that one is because of the headlight and sidelight version but did camp out in it in mnus 12 just slightly chilly ie southern frostieswhich is a groupe of us that where at stonehenge when it went cold i was annoyed at my gas freezing and my frozen coffee the is a pictuer somewhere of my frozen lumpy coffee lol

Hi, I am really struggling to get a decent quote from a company for a) a low loader and b) a gearbox Do you know anyone who has a trailer in your area. I'd take a chance on the gearbox needing replacing as everything else seems ok. I can only get quotes of £300 to Sheffield, and that's nearly as much as the camper. Sorry if its taking me along time to reply, I'm not used to This forum malarkey... Thought I'd get e mails through without logging in. Just really want a micro camper to be able to sling my hook whenever I want. And you can leave your peace pipe in the van if i ever get to buy it ;-)

You could always buy it, join the AA, leave it a few days, then ring the AA and claim you've broken down in Weston with a gearbox problem!
They may even fix it for you!

It may work if you get a friend to take you to young hippies and then you all push the little camper to a road and then ring the AA and play the dumb female routine. I think you would have to insure and tax first to back up ownership.

Just a thought Emma, but if you are going to get it repaired and MOT’d when you get it home, why not have a look at it and then get a garage near Weston to pick it up and do the work; that way you can drive it home without the added transport costs.
