Most of those cast iron products come coated with machine oil to prevent rust in transit and retail - same as cast iron woks. Captain McNasty has gone to Doggy heaven now so we won't be able to try him in the Wok after all. Small children still a possibility though if anyone has a recipe

Small children still a possibility though if anyone has a recipe I believe Vernon that most stew recipes that involve chicken/rabbit you can substitute the meet for a small child just reduce the cooking time as children have quite tender meet on them.

Well the rabbits are jointed and now in my freezer ready for the Dutch oven cook off. Will bring my pressure cooker just incase we have Dutch oven problems.

It is not the Dutch oven that will be a problem just the lazy one's that think firewood just transmogrificatees from thin air, note to self sharpen axes .
