This trip promising to be a gourmetfest! Yum, bring it on. I actually found a recipe for seafood scotch eggs on the net. It could be adapted to use lobster.

well tis 11.05 and we are outside of the Brownlow arms, place is deserted, did you change the venue? Go for a bracing walk down the Trent to the site of the Old Power Station. Then maybe a pub meal - it's good value I don't think I'll be there till tomorrow morning as I have to work, but others will be there tonight.

Fantastic Weekend. Thanks for organising it, Doodles and Mille. Goat curry was brill, as was ginger beer Also thanks for organising the raffle. Just to let people know, we had a raffle and have started some forum funds. We have just over £30 so far and will be publishing in a thread what we have and what it is used for ie Credits and debits. Plan is to buy communal items for meets eg Charcoal, food etc or cover the cost of small items up front like car stickers, mugs etc. It will be pretty small scale stuff as all our forum hosting is free forever.

Well we finally got back home so a few bits of interest. For those who missed it. The Brownlow arms is a nice site, super pub, great food, then there are the reprobates that frequent the place. It was will's Birthday and he and his wife were perfect hosts A van load of home made beer soon took effect but most managed to stagger to the bandstand where the goat curry, (oops spicy stew) was prepared and cooked by Will, assisted by fag ash lil. I turned the picture so the the ash would not fall in the pot. When sunday came the result could plainly be seen a small party headed off to Scotland whilst we continued to the north york moors. Cheers everybody, must do it again in august.

i thought I replied to this, firing is far too harsh on poor milli, she was conscripted after all, hee hee, maybe a light BBqing would do instead.
