Had been along the south coast and was heading home yesterday, so called in the pub around 7pm for a drink on the off chance someone may of arrived ..no one in there I recognised, tho there was a MH in the carpark..and a truck/caravan in the corner of the field..did think of staying on,but after 9 days kipping in my little van,was in need of a couple of days of home comforts!!
Looks like a nice venue! ..have fun, those of you that get to go!

Oh! Shame you missed us. Basildog was there all day and I arrived about 4pm. We went in the pub at 7pm, sitting at the table right at the door! There was a wee camper parked behind the hymer in the car park, and basildogs MH was top centre (right of the caravan). You would be forgiven for not noticing it though as it is a stealth one If it happens again, ask Richard (behind the bar) to point us out Hope you are enjoying your home comforts now.

Do you mean yesterday or today WindDancer?..as it was yesterday (Thurs) about 7pm I popped in for 10 mins..if you saw a smallish,darkish,handso...(no that's pushing it!) bloke with a pint or orange and lemonade in the bar..twas me!! Def needed a couple of nights sleep in my comfy bed after my roll out mattress in the van!!..annoying thing is I could probably do the van thing again tomoro..but its 130 miles from me ..and ive got through lots of fuel as it is recently.
Have a great weekend

Ah no it was Friday! I missed that bit in your post. 130 miles is a long way to come back! Right enough I'm heading off 100miles away from the meet for Sunday then going back to Greywell. A couple of nights in your own bed and you'll be raring to get out in the van again Have a good weekend.

So at Greywell now. Nice weather today, yesterday was a bit of a wash out. Just me WindDancer and Basildog here though WindDancer has gone off with her three collies for a dog competition today
We are sharing the field with some travellers, and a couple in a tent.
Managed a fire last night as it had brightened up a bit and got to try out my Scorpion saw. It works OK off the inverter or the genny.

We could have popped in today on our way up to Heathrow to pick Jess and my Mum up but their flight was early so we ran out of time. Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Sorry you couldn't make it Lee & Linda Day three at Greywell now. I think this is the best day for sun so far. Just me and Basildog and family left as WindDancer went off this morning. She did very well at the dog competition yesterday with all three dogs. Travellers are still here. They are a very friendly bunch and we have chatted a few times. They are off doing landscape gardening. They seem to work every day including Sunday and bank holiday. Got another dead elm stem last night and cut that for logs with the scorpion saw off the genny. Scorpion is not bad. It's a bit slow but it gets the job done 10x faster than a handsaw but probably 10x slower than a chainsaw.

Still here! I just popped out for an errand, but Firefox was still in his pit so didn't know I was coming back Beautiful day, nice lunch, lovely walk along the water, back and chilled out for the rest of the day. Just having dinner and catching up on the web, and feeling fulfilled and contented.

Still here! Had a great weekend. Just cooking a stew ;0
Edit: It turned out great. Rocket tomatoes, mixed salad, rib eye steak, some sweetcure bacon, red wine, water, olive oil, salt and pepper. A very rich and slightly sweet broth with the beef juices, sweetcure, and red wineall adding their bit.

I think I may be struggling to make this one.
Flight back from Ankara via Berlin arrives 6.55am Heathrow Sat, but more to the point the clutch on the van has almost no bite left on the travel. It's either a hydraulic problem or a new clutch so I am trying to get that fixed on Saturday if I can.

Is it worth bringing the brazier for Saturday night? Sounds like a good idea to me. Tell Andy to have his Doombar head on!
